To participate in this course, you must be able to lead climb, know how to belay with a Grigri, and have a solid climbing level in the 5th grade.
• Climbing with double ropes
• Belaying with ATC (reverso)
• Anchoring and triangulation in multi-pitch routes
• Organization and efficiency at anchors
• Progression on equipped multi-pitch routes
• Retreating from routes
• Rappelling
• Reading route guides and planning

Required gear for the course
• Harness, helmet, and climbing shoes
• 20L backpack
• Water and snacks
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• Warm clothing (even in summer)
• Reverso and HMS carabiner
• 120/150 cm cord (7mm diameter) for anchors
• Prusik cord (ideally Beal Jammy 50 or 60 cm)
• Personal anchor system (ideally Fixe multi-chain)
• 6 D-shaped locking carabiners
